Yemeni analyst hails Taiz residents’ resilience under Houthi siege

Yemeni political analyst Dr. Faris Al-Beel said the resilience and bravery of Taiz residents is remarkable as they endure the Houthi militia’s siege and intense shelling.

Speaking to Al Arabiya FM, Al-Beel added that resistance fighters and government forces have shown unexpected determination, defying Houthi expectations that Taiz would surrender in the early days.

He noted that it is impossible for the militias to breach all the city’s defenses, describing this as a significant military failure for the Houthis despite their heavy firepower.

The analyst continued, saying the militias are besieging Taiz from all sides, yet the people of the province continue to hold their positions in the mountains, despite being outgunned and cut off from supplies.
