Yemeni armed forces fully liberate Hays district from Houthi control

Yemeni armed forces and joint units on Saturday fully liberated Hays district in Hodeidah province from the control of Iran-backed Houthi militias, after regaining and securing the district’s rural areas.

A military source told the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that while Hays city had already been liberated, parts of the district’s countryside had remained under Houthi control until today, when forces succeeded in freeing and securing all rural areas.

The source added that the armed forces regained control of areas near the Al-Barh junction and advanced towards Houthi positions, causing the militants to retreat and flee, with dozens killed or wounded in their ranks.

The source confirmed to SABA that forces are continuing to secure the liberated areas and consolidate their positions after the full liberation of Hays district.
