Arab Parliament condemns Al-Aqsa Mosque incursions and violations in Jerusalem

Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi strongly condemned the incursions by Israeli settlers and ministers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of occupation forces, as well as the performance of Talmudic rituals and prayers. He stressed that these actions represent a dangerous escalation and a violation of the historical and legal status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Yamahi also denounced the visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife to tunnels and excavations beneath the Buraq Wall area and the Old City of occupied Jerusalem. He affirmed that such measures cannot alter historical and legal facts or undermine the Arab and Islamic identity of Jerusalem and its holy sites, reiterating that the entire Al-Aqsa Mosque is an exclusively Islamic site and that the Buraq Wall is part of Islamic holy places.

The Arab Parliament Speaker called on the international community and the UN Security Council to assume their responsibilities, halt these violations, and compel the occupation to respect international law and relevant UN resolutions. He urged an end to unilateral and provocative actions in occupied Jerusalem, emphasizing that Jerusalem will remain a top priority for the Arab world and that attempts to impose new realities by force will not change the fact that Jerusalem is an occupied city.
