Iraqi prime minister to visit Iran for talks and agreements this week

Iraq's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi will visit Iran at the end of this week to sign a number of memorandums of understanding in areas of joint cooperation.

In a statement, the ministry said that Deputy Foreign Minister for Bilateral Relations Mohammed Hussein Bahr Al-Uloom received Iran's Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al Sadeq, at the ministry headquarters.

The ministry added that both sides discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran, the agenda for the prime minister's upcoming visit to Tehran later this week, and ongoing preparations for the trip, including the signing of several memorandums of understanding in fields of joint cooperation to strengthen bilateral ties and serve the shared interests of both countries.
