Israeli forces fire near Lebanese army units during Zotar Al-Gharbiya deployment

The Lebanese army said Israeli forces fired shots near its units during their deployment in the town of Zotar Al-Gharbiya.

The army added that this Israeli action could hinder the implementation of deployment steps in the designated pilot areas.

The incident occurred just hours after the Lebanese army began its deployment in Zotar Al-Gharbiya in southern Lebanon.

The army continued its deployment as part of the first phase of the "pilot areas" outlined in the framework agreement with Israel, ahead of a scheduled meeting between Lebanese Army Commander Joseph Aoun and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington.
