Yemeni official: Iranian plan to control Bab Al-Mandab thwarted

Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council member and commander of the National Resistance Forces, Lieutenant General Tareq Saleh, said that armed forces on the western coast have succeeded in thwarting the Iranian project aimed at asserting control over the Bab Al-Mandab Strait.

During a visit to wounded soldiers in hospitals in Mokha, western Yemen, Saleh stated that opening new fronts against the Houthis and Iran will strengthen resilience and lead to victories until the liberation of Sanaa, according to Al Arabiya.

Saleh checked on the health of Brigadier General Uday Al-Imad, commander of the Fifth Brigade of the National Resistance, and other wounded heroes receiving medical care, praising their sacrifices and heroic roles in confronting the Iranian Revolutionary Guard-backed militias on the western front.

Lieutenant General Tareq Saleh reaffirmed the goal of liberating Sanaa and all Yemeni territory, and ending the influence of the Revolutionary Guard and its militias in Yemen.
