The Kingdom of Bahrain has announced its full support for Saudi Arabia’s position and efforts to back the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate Yemeni government. Bahrain affirmed its support for Saudi-led efforts within the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, aimed at ending the coup, restoring the state and its institutions, eliminating the threat of terrorism, and reaching a comprehensive political solution in line with the three agreed references to fulfill the Yemeni people's aspirations for security and stability.

In a statement from its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Manama strongly condemned the continued attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia against Saudi Arabia, including targeting civilians and civilian and economic facilities, as well as attacks on the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, describing them as the holiest sites on earth.

The ministry noted that Houthi assaults have targeted the capital Riyadh and the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran, Taif, and Yanbu, in addition to attacks on Saudi vessels in the southern Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab Strait.

Bahrain reaffirmed its complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents, emphasizing this as an inherent right of self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of the security of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council states, as stipulated in the Joint Defense Agreement.

The ministry called on the UN Security Council, especially its permanent members, to fulfill their responsibilities to end Houthi attacks and threats to maritime security and energy supplies, and to ensure full implementation of relevant resolutions, particularly Resolutions 2216 and 2817, in order to safeguard regional and international peace and security.
