Yemeni armed forces seize strategic sites in Lahij, advance in Marib

Yemeni armed forces, supported by the Al-Subaiha tribes, made territorial gains in the Al-Subaiha area of Lahij province after capturing the strategic Bazala mountain and the Dahoura and Saybara positions on the Al-Aghbara front, following fierce battles with Houthi militants that lasted for hours, according to a military source cited by Al Arabiya.

The source said Yemeni forces achieved significant progress during the clashes, while Houthi militants suffered losses in personnel and equipment.

These developments coincide with intense fighting between Yemeni armed forces and Houthi militants on the Bab al-Mandab, Al-Mudariyah, and Al-Wazi’iyah fronts in the southwest of Taiz and Lahij provinces.

In Marib province, Yemeni forces engaged in battles with Houthi militants on the Mashjah front in the west of the province, advancing on the ground and forcing the Houthis to retreat after destroying several of their vehicles, according to military sources.

On Marib’s southern front, army artillery thwarted Houthi infiltration attempts in Wadi Dhanna and Al-Balaq, while airstrikes targeted Houthi reinforcements and gatherings at the Um Rish camp and the former 26th Brigade camp in Al-Juba district, as well as positions in the Mala’a pass in Harib district.

On the humanitarian front, the United Nations expressed regret over the suffering of civilians in Yemen due to Houthi attacks, noting it has recorded around 19,000 cases of displacement and continues to monitor civilian harm and verify testimonies.
