Yemeni presidential council chief warns Houthis against testing government patience

Al-Alimi’s remarks came during phone calls on Thursday with council member Lieutenant General Tariq Saleh, Supreme Military Committee member Major General Youssef Al-Sharaji, Fourth Military Region Commander Major General Hamdi Shukri, and other military leaders to review field developments and the progress of operations on Taiz fronts.
During the calls, Al-Alimi was briefed on the combat readiness and high morale of the forces, as well as their ability to respond effectively and responsibly to Houthi escalation and thwart its objectives across various fronts.

Al-Alimi praised the bravery and steadfastness of the armed forces and all military formations, paying tribute to the fallen and wishing a swift recovery for the wounded.
He also instructed that the families of the martyrs be cared for, and that the wounded and injured receive full treatment and support, emphasizing that fulfilling their rights is a national duty and responsibility that cannot be neglected.
The council chief called on tribesmen in Houthi-controlled areas not to send their sons to what he described as futile wars, warning against turning them into fuel for a conflict that serves neither Yemen nor its people.
Al-Alimi accused the Houthi militias of sending hundreds of Yemenis into battle, claiming this serves the agenda of the Iranian regime and what he described as its destructive project in the region.
