US offers to lift sanctions on Iran in exchange for reopening Strait of Hormuz

A source told Al Arabiya that the United States has offered to end the blockade and lift sanctions on Tehran in exchange for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and halting attacks carried out by Iran's proxies.

The source added that Pakistan's army chief, Asim Munir, delivered the proposal to Iran during his recent visit, as part of a memorandum of understanding. Munir received a briefing from Mohsen Rezaee, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, who said Tehran would continue internal consultations and respond soon.

Mehdi Tabatabaei, Deputy for Communications and Media Affairs in the Iranian president's office, said Munir's visit to Iran was highly productive and marked by significant diplomatic achievements, with results expected to become clear soon.
