Kuwait condemns repeated Iranian attacks on its territory

Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the repeated Iranian attacks on its territory, the latest of which occurred at dawn today. The ministry described these actions as a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a danger to the safety of its citizens and residents. The statement also called the attacks a serious breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.

In an official statement, the ministry reiterated that the continuation of such blatant attacks reflects a hostile approach and represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region. It also undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at calming tensions and reducing escalation.

The ministry stressed that Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, and defend its territory and vital facilities against any aggression or threat. This right is based on the inherent principle of self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law.
