Drone attack targets Kuwait’s Abdali border crossing, causing damage

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense spokesperson, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Etwani, announced that the Abdali border crossing was targeted by hostile drones at midday today, resulting in material damage but no injuries.

According to a statement from the Kuwaiti Army, Al-Etwani said specialized teams immediately responded to the incident, securing the area and coordinating with relevant authorities.

He added that inspection and explosive ordnance disposal teams from the Land Forces began surveying and securing the site, removing drone debris in line with approved technical procedures to ensure the area’s safety and eliminate any risks.

The border region between Iraq and Kuwait witnessed a serious escalation today after the Abdali crossing was struck by drones, in response to a rocket attack earlier this morning that targeted the passenger terminal and trade exchange station at the Shalamcheh border crossing on the Iranian side.
