Israeli violations in southern Lebanon undermine talks, says Joseph Aoun

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said that Israeli violations in southern Lebanon send a clear message regarding the negotiation process and ongoing US efforts.

Aoun added that Israeli airstrikes contradict US efforts to implement a ceasefire agreement and represent a negative signal for the negotiation track.

The Lebanese president also condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on southern areas, particularly in the Nabatieh region and its surroundings, as well as repeated breaches of the framework agreement, the work of the military coordination group, and international laws protecting civilians. He noted that these actions led to the death of an entire family from the town of Ansar.

Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon in recent hours have resulted in the death and injury of several Lebanese civilians, despite Lebanon’s commitment to the negotiation process.
