Israeli violations in southern Lebanon undermine negotiations, says Lebanese president

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said that Israeli violations in southern Lebanon send a clear message regarding the negotiation process and US efforts.

Aoun added that Israeli airstrikes contradict US efforts to implement a ceasefire agreement and represent a negative signal for the negotiation track.

The Lebanese president also condemned ongoing Israeli attacks on southern areas, particularly in and around Nabatieh, as well as repeated breaches of the framework agreement, the work of the military coordination group, and international laws protecting civilians, which led to the death of an entire family from the town of Ansar.

Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon have resulted in the death and injury of several Lebanese civilians in recent hours, despite Lebanon's commitment to engaging in the negotiation process.
