Zelensky vows to pressure Moscow to end war before winter

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that his country will seek to apply diplomatic, economic, and military pressure on Moscow to end the war before the start of winter.

Speaking to the Kyiv Post, Zelensky stated, "We will try to make this happen before the onset of winter," emphasizing that Ukraine will work with its partners to unite and increase pressure on Russia.

Zelensky has repeatedly said that winter is a critical and sensitive phase of the conflict, as Russia intensifies its efforts to destroy energy infrastructure, including power grids and heating networks.

The Russian-Ukrainian war has seen a significant escalation on the ground and an increase in reciprocal airstrikes. Russia has intensified its missile and drone attacks, targeting Kyiv, energy infrastructure, and logistics centers across various Ukrainian regions.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continue to carry out drone strikes deep inside Russia, targeting logistics centers and depots in Crimea and other areas within Russia.
