Qatar strongly condemns attack on Saudi East-West pipeline

Qatar has strongly condemned the targeting of the East-West pipeline in the Riyadh and Madinah regions of Saudi Arabia by several drones launched from Iraq, which resulted in casualties and material damage.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that attacks on civilian and economic facilities are reprehensible acts and a blatant violation of international law, representing a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region. The ministry also praised Saudi Arabia’s responsible approach in supporting the Iraqi government’s efforts to prevent its territory from being used to launch attacks against the Kingdom and neighboring countries.

The ministry expressed Qatar’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to protect the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and facilities.
