US reaffirms support for Saudi Arabia, pledges continued partnership

The US State Department has reaffirmed that the United States remains committed to supporting Saudi Arabia and will always stand by the Kingdom.

Speaking to Al Arabiya, the department added that the Houthis are acting irresponsibly and targeting civilian sites, with their attacks endangering the lives of innocent civilians.

US President Donald Trump previously stated that he believed the Houthis had learned their lesson a year ago when the US struck them and then stopped at their request. He also accused them of deliberately trying to raise oil prices, adding that he would not forget this.
