Iran says 70% of South Pars phase 14 refinery rehabilitation complete

Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company has announced that rehabilitation work on phase 14 of the South Pars refinery has reached 70% completion.

The announcement comes as Iran moves to upgrade its refineries following threats by US President Donald Trump to tighten economic pressure and impose new sanctions on the country.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the latest US sanctions against Iran lack a basis in international law.

The ministry added that the United States’ use of economic coercion against a sovereign nation is considered illegitimate under international law.
