US maritime blockade halts Iranian oil exports since July: WSJ

The Wall Street Journal has reported that the maritime blockade imposed by the United States on Iran has prevented the country from exporting oil since last July.

The US military confirmed last Wednesday that it had forced 86 commercial vessels to change course and intercepted three others to ensure compliance with the blockade on Iran.

This comes as the US continues to enforce economic pressure on Iran through the blockade, aiming to prevent attacks on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
