Lebanese president rules out new talks with Israel for now

Lebanese media reported on Saturday that President Joseph Aoun said there are "no new negotiations with Israel at this time."

Speaking in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, Aoun stated that "Israeli withdrawal, the return of prisoners and displaced persons, and reconstruction are national priorities we are committed to fulfilling," according to Sky News.

Earlier, a US official confirmed that the next round of talks between Israel and Lebanon, which was scheduled to take place in Rome next week, has been postponed.
