Yemeni armed forces repel Houthi attacks in key western fronts: analyst

Speaking in an interview with Al Hadath TV, the military analyst added that Yemeni forces are inflicting heavy losses on the Houthi militia in both equipment and personnel.
He explained that the battle has reached a breaking point for the Houthis, as their presence along the western coast—especially in Bab al-Mandab and Dhubab—remains exposed. The Houthis are unable to establish a military infrastructure in these areas due to Yemeni forces controlling the surrounding high ground, both near Taiz and in the fronts of Al-Sabiha, Lahj, Kahboub, Al-Mudaraba, and Al-Arah, as well as in the areas near Taiz.
Baheibeh continued that the Houthi militia is sending significant reinforcements in an attempt to advance in these strategic locations, aiming to expand their control and secure the coast, hoping to turn any gains into a strategic victory. However, Yemeni armed forces in Kahboub, Al-Mudaraba, Ras Al-Arah, and the fronts near Taiz are successfully repelling these attacks, achieving victories and causing the Houthis substantial losses in both equipment and lives.
He added that the Yemeni forces are operating on two fronts: the first involves striking deep into Houthi positions in Bab al-Mandab and Al-Mokha through ongoing air operations, drones, and rocket launchers; the second focuses on advancing and expanding control over high ground in Kahboub and progressing in Jabal Naaman. He noted that the Houthis are in a real predicament, as any advance in these fronts would still leave their positions in Bab al-Mandab, Mayun, and Dhubab under constant military pressure from Yemeni forces.
