Jordan intercepts 4 missiles and 6 Iranian drones

A senior military source at the Jordanian Armed Forces General Command said the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted four missiles and six Iranian drones that targeted the kingdom over the past 24 hours.

According to the source, cited by the Jordan News Agency, air defenses shot down three missiles on Sunday morning, while a fourth missile fell in an uninhabited remote area. Six drones were intercepted and downed on Saturday evening. The source confirmed there were no casualties or material damage from the incidents.

Royal Engineering Corps teams were dispatched to the missile and debris sites, securing the areas and handling the remnants according to established technical and security procedures.

The source stressed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the kingdom’s airspace and maintain the highest operational readiness to address any threats to national security and public safety, in line with established rules of engagement.

The General Command urged citizens to avoid approaching the sites of missile or drone debris, to report any findings immediately, and to rely on official sources for information, warning against spreading rumors or unverified news.
