Trump says US-Saudi civilian nuclear deal will be approved

Former US President Donald Trump has confirmed that the civilian nuclear agreement between the US Department of Energy and Saudi Arabia will be approved, stressing that it is limited to non-military uses and will not involve the enrichment of any nuclear materials.

Posting on his Truth Social account, Trump said: "The civilian nuclear agreement (no nuclear material will be enriched!) between the US Department of Energy and Saudi Arabia will be approved. It is restricted to non-military uses, similar to those in Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and others. The United States does not object to the establishment of civilian (non-enriched) nuclear facilities. Thank you for your interest in this matter."
