Syria launches direct flights to Moscow starting August 16

Syrian Airlines has announced the launch of a direct air route between Damascus and Moscow, starting August 16.

According to a statement from the airline, passengers traveling to Moscow can book their tickets through its official website or mobile app, with direct electronic payment now available to streamline the booking process, as reported by Russia Today.

Flights will operate to Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, with one weekly flight scheduled on the route during August. This move is part of Syrian Airlines' efforts to expand its network and resume international routes, following a period of challenges for Syria's aviation sector.

The airline had earlier announced the resumption of flights to Istanbul after a 14-year suspension, as well as the return of services to several Gulf destinations.
