Yemeni minister condemns assassination of military commander Radfani, blames Houthis

Yemeni Minister of Information Moammar Al-Eryani has strongly condemned the treacherous terrorist attack that targeted military commander Osama Abdulkarim Al-Radfani and his companions in the Al-Abr area of Hadramout province.

In a statement, Al-Eryani said the crime was orchestrated by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, describing it as part of a systematic campaign targeting national leaders, members of the armed forces and security services, and all those working to restore the state and end the coup.

Al-Eryani added that this cowardly act once again reveals the terrorist nature of the Houthi militia, which relies on violence, chaos, and assassination to advance Iran’s agenda in Yemen and the region. He stressed that such crimes will only strengthen the resolve of the Yemeni people, the armed forces, and all national groups to continue the battle to restore the state, defeat the Houthi coup, and end Iranian influence in Yemen.

The minister called on security and military agencies to intensify efforts to track down all those involved in the attack and bring them to justice. He also urged the international community to recognize that continued tolerance of Houthi crimes only encourages further bloodshed, threatens Yemen and regional security, and undermines efforts to achieve peace and stability.

Al-Eryani affirmed that the blood of the martyrs will fuel the battle to restore the state and defeat Iran’s project, and will not be in vain. He stressed the government’s determination to relentlessly pursue terrorism and dry up its sources until all those responsible for Yemeni blood are held accountable.
