SDF announces dissolution, integration into Syrian state institutions

Mazloum Abdi, commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), has announced the dissolution of the SDF, the Kurdish self-administration, and all affiliated military and civilian bodies, confirming the full integration of SDF forces into Syrian state institutions.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the announcement marks the culmination of an agreement with the Syrian government, led by Ahmed Al-Shara, aimed at rebuilding unified national institutions in the country.

Abdi stated that the decision to dissolve the SDF is part of efforts to build a unified Syrian state, saying the goal is to "build a new and united Syria."

The decision, as announced by the SDF commander, covers the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Kurdish self-administration, and all their affiliated military and civilian formations.

Abdi also declared that SDF forces have "fully integrated" into Syrian state institutions, reflecting the implementation of one of the agreement's key provisions with the Syrian government.
