Palestinian presidency warns of rising Israeli actions in Jerusalem

The Palestinian presidency warned of the dangers of systematic Israeli escalation against occupied Jerusalem and its holy sites, stressing that ongoing incursions by settlers and Israeli government ministers into Al-Aqsa Mosque for a third consecutive day represent a failed attempt to impose new realities that will not grant Israel any legitimacy.

Palestinian presidential spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh said these provocative and condemned incursions constitute a blatant violation of the historical and legal status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Abu Rudeineh affirmed that Israeli measures will not create rights or legitimacy in occupied Jerusalem, nor will they undermine the Palestinian people's established right to Jerusalem as the capital of the independent State of Palestine.
