Pakistan and Iran foreign ministers discuss regional and global developments

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar discussed regional and international developments with his Iranian counterpart during the call.

The talks come as mediators are urging Iran and the United States to intensify indirect negotiations currently taking place in Oman.

Negotiators hope to reach practical solutions in the talks, starting with reopening the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping without restrictions, while Iran maintains its right to collect fees.
