Only 14 ships passed through Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday: WSJ

The Wall Street Journal has reported that only 14 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday.

Shipping data showed that the number of vessels detected in the strait on Tuesday dropped to its lowest level in a week, with just eight ships, as shipowners avoided the vital waterway amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Data from Kpler indicated that the total number of ships on Tuesday fell below the 10-day average of around 12 vessels, marking the lowest daily figure since August 5. Only one ship, a coal carrier, exited the strait, while the remaining vessels were still making their way through. All seven ships that entered the strait took the Iranian route.
