US Central Command has announced it is continuing to strengthen the readiness of its HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) in the Middle East.

The command added that it is working to ensure the highest levels of readiness are maintained and that missions continue to be carried out with high efficiency, according to Al Arabiya.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) previously announced the successful completion of a ninth consecutive night of strikes against Iranian military targets.

The strikes targeted Iranian military command centers, air defense and coastal surveillance sites, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch platforms, and communications networks, with the aim of further degrading Iran’s ability to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM added that the US military is holding Iran accountable in line with directives from the commander-in-chief, remaining on high alert with maximum focus and full combat readiness.
