Four wounded, including soldier, in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon

Israeli forces launched airstrikes on areas in southern Lebanon, wounding four people, including a Lebanese soldier who sustained serious injuries. The attacks mark a continuation of field violations despite a ceasefire agreement being in place. The Lebanese government has called for the activation of the framework agreement with Israel.

According to Al Arabiya’s correspondent, the Israeli strikes targeted the areas of Mansouri and Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon. An Israeli drone also carried out a strike on Nabatieh al-Fawqa at around 8:30 a.m.

The Lebanese army announced on its X account that a soldier was severely wounded when an Israeli strike targeted a military vehicle in Nabatieh al-Fawqa. The statement added that three civilians were also injured in the same attack.

These strikes come as Israeli attacks continue in southern Lebanon, despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah that has been in effect since June 21. Tensions remain high, with ongoing disputes over the implementation of security arrangements along the border.

Earlier, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called for the activation of the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel. During a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, he emphasized the need to move forward with the tripartite framework and to translate the principles of reciprocity and gradual steps into practical measures and tangible results. He said this would help Lebanon regain full sovereignty, achieve complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory, and ensure that all arms are under state control throughout the country.
