Yemeni navy intercepts four Houthi explosive boats near Hanish and Zuqar islands

The Yemeni navy intercepted four Houthi explosive boats near the Hanish and Zuqar islands in the Red Sea.

A Yemeni military official said the boats attempted to approach the Hanish and Zuqar islands at different times before being detected and confronted by government forces, which thwarted their attempts, according to the Yemeni News Agency.

The Houthi boats repeatedly tried to approach the liberated islands overlooking the international shipping lane in the Red Sea. The Yemeni navy responded to these attempts, forcing the boats to flee north toward the coast of Hodeidah.
