UN chief urges global leaders to safeguard shipping lanes, de-escalate tensions

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called on world leaders to protect shipping lanes and work to de-escalate tensions.

Speaking at the United Nations, Guterres warned of the growing dominance of technology and artificial intelligence leaders, stressing that competition should not become confrontation, according to Al-Sharq.

He added that it is clear the world is moving toward multipolarity, and that unprecedented and difficult challenges are accumulating globally.
