Hundreds evacuated as new wildfire spreads in southwest Spain

Around 500 people have been evacuated due to a wildfire in southwest Spain.

The Andalusian regional government said on Sunday that the fire, which broke out last Thursday, has so far consumed about 80 square kilometers in Huelva province.

The number of evacuees has risen to 474 in recent hours.

Andalusian Interior Minister Antonio Sanz explained that the flames spread rapidly in recent days, driven by strong winds.
