Under the chairmanship of Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the COVID-19 Follow-up Committee held its 89th meeting today, in the presence of the members of the Committee representing a number of the relevant governmental entities.
During the meeting, all relevant COVID-19 updates and reports were reviewed.
Following the meeting, Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali, who is also spokesperson of the Health Ministry, said that 2593 new COVID-19 cases were reported today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that the new cases were reported in many cities and governorates in the Kingdom.
He pointed out that the total cases tested positive for COVID-19 in the Kingdom reached 57345 cases, including 28277 active cases and 237 critical cases.
He also pointed out that the cases confirmed today represent 56% for non-Saudis and 44% for Saudi nationals.
The number of the new recoveries is 3026, bringing the total number of recoverees to 28748, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said, adding that the number of the new deaths is 8, bringing the total death toll to 320.
