Qatar defeats Yemen to reach Gulf Cup semifinals

The Qatar national football team has secured a place in the semifinals of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup after defeating Yemen 1-0 in a match held today at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the second round of Group B.

Youssef Abdulrazzaq scored the only goal of the match in the 65th minute, earning Qatar three valuable points that guaranteed their progression to the semifinals and strengthened their bid for the title.

The game saw both teams create chances throughout, with Yemen pushing to get back into the contest but unable to find an equalizer, while Qatar capitalized on one of their attacking opportunities to secure the win.

With this result, Qatar has booked its spot in the semifinals, while Yemen exits the tournament at the group stage.
