Real Sociedad defeats Espanyol 2-1 in La Liga third round

Real Sociedad secured a 2-1 win over visiting Espanyol today in the third round of the Spanish La Liga.

Sociedad's goals came from Ander Barrenetxea in the fourth minute and Orri Oskarsson in the 61st, while Espanyol's only goal was scored by Roberto Fernández in the 45th minute.

With this result, Real Sociedad claimed their first three points of the season, moving up to 12th place and overcoming a slow start, while Espanyol remain on the same points tally in 10th place on goal difference.
