Al-Nassr thrash Al-Riyadh 4-0 to claim top spot in Roshn League

Al-Nassr continued their impressive run in the Roshn Saudi League, securing a commanding 4-0 victory over Al-Riyadh on Friday evening in the second round of the competition. The win saw Al-Nassr collect maximum points and maintain their position at the top of the standings.

Al-Nassr now have six points, level with Al-Hilal in second place, while Al-Riyadh remain at the bottom of the table with no points after suffering their second consecutive defeat.

It took Al-Nassr just 18 minutes to open the scoring, as Abdulelah Al-Amri headed in a cross from inside the penalty area, giving his side the lead after a period of sustained attacking pressure.

Shortly before halftime, Al-Nassr doubled their advantage when Gabriel Angelo scored in the first minute of stoppage time, finishing off a low cross from the right to send his team into the break with a 2-0 lead.

Al-Nassr maintained their attacking momentum after the interval, with Joao Felix adding a third goal in the 58th minute. The Portuguese forward unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box that beat the Al-Riyadh goalkeeper.

Al-Nassr's coach introduced Cristiano Ronaldo in the 63rd minute, replacing Abdullah Al-Hamdan, giving the team captain a chance to feature in the closing stages.

Twenty minutes after coming on, Ronaldo made his mark by scoring Al-Nassr's fourth goal in the 83rd minute, sealing the emphatic win and ensuring his team claimed all three points.

With this victory, Al-Nassr maintained their perfect start to the Roshn League, collecting six points from their first two matches, while Al-Riyadh remain rooted to the bottom without a point.
