Sports Ministry launches licensing service for trekking tours in Saudi Arabia and abroad

The Ministry of Sports has launched a new licensing service for organizing trekking activities both within Saudi Arabia and internationally, aiming to improve the quality of trekking experiences and promote a culture of responsible and sustainable travel in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The ministry explained that the introduction of the trekking licenses section on the Riadi platform is designed to streamline regulatory procedures and ensure safe, organized trekking activities that combine adventure with environmental exploration.

Applicants can submit licensing requests through the platform, where applications are reviewed in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure that tours comply with regulations both inside and outside the Kingdom. Applicants can also benefit from services offered by various agencies.

Strengthening Saudi Arabia's position as a destination for organized tours

The initiative aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a leading destination for organized, safe, and sustainable trekking tours by showcasing the Kingdom's modern image at home and abroad and professionally documenting sporting and cultural experiences.
