Trabzonspor president denies reports of Mohamed Salah deal

Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has denied reports suggesting the Turkish club has reached an agreement with Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah, confirming that no deal has been finalized for the Egypt national team captain.

Doğan's comments came after reports circulated that Trabzonspor had offered Salah a two-year contract worth 15 million euros per season, capitalizing on speculation that the player had rejected a move to Beşiktaş.

Speaking to A Spor, Doğan said: "Mohamed Salah is among the best players in the Premier League. Who wouldn't want to sign him? But to be clear, there is no agreement. There are no plans for him to visit Trabzon tomorrow. If that were happening, I would announce it to our fans and the media."

He added: "Of course, our fans would love to see Salah in our team, but there is no agreement at this time."

While noting that Trabzonspor will announce several important developments tomorrow, Doğan clarified that the upcoming announcement is related to commercial matters, not new player signings. He also said the club is working to sign two or three new players.

These statements come amid ongoing speculation about Salah's future, following his departure from Liverpool after nine years in the Premier League, with his next destination yet to be revealed.

Reports have also linked Al-Ittihad with a bid for the Egypt captain, though Salah has not commented on any of the offers, and his new club is expected to be announced in the coming days.
