Netherlands defeat Serbia 2-1 in UEFA Nations League group stage

The Netherlands claimed an important 2-1 win over hosts Serbia at Red Star Stadium in Belgrade on Thursday evening, in the second round of Group C in the top tier of the UEFA Nations League.

The Dutch side took the lead through Miks Mirdink, who converted a penalty in the 30th minute. Serbia equalized early in the second half, with Luka Jovic scoring in the 46th minute.

Miks Mirdink struck again in the 69th minute to secure victory for the Netherlands, temporarily putting them at the top of the group with four points.

Meanwhile, Serbia remain without a point at the bottom of the group, pending the result of the Germany vs. Greece match in the same round.
