Cristiano Ronaldo steps in to let children take photos after security refusal in Oslo

Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Portugal national team, personally intervened and asked security staff to allow two children to approach him for a souvenir photo during a fan gathering in Oslo ahead of the match against Norway in the UEFA Nations League.

Footage showed the two children attempting to reach Ronaldo before being stopped by security, but the Portuguese star noticed and signaled for them to be allowed through, then paused to take photos with them.

Several other children also tried to cross the barriers as the Portuguese team bus arrived, prompting Ronaldo to intervene again and ask security to let them approach, taking photos with some of them.

Oslo has been filled with excitement since the Portuguese team arrived on Friday evening, with hundreds of fans gathering outside the team’s hotel in Nydalen, while others waited for hours outside Ullevaal Stadium hoping to see Ronaldo.

Children led the crowds eager to catch a glimpse of the Portuguese star, as the Norwegian Football Association tightened security measures around the team’s training sessions and the match.

Portugal is preparing to face Norway on Sunday evening in a sold-out match, after defeating Wales 1-0 in the opening round. The game will mark the first time Ronaldo and Erling Haaland meet at the international level.
