Paris Saint-Germain defeat Marseille 2-1 in French league classic

Paris Saint-Germain claimed a 2-1 win over arch-rivals Olympique de Marseille in the French league classic on Sunday, wrapping up the fifth round of Ligue 1 fixtures.

Ferran Torres and Marquinhos scored for the defending champions in the 66th and 74th minutes, while Angel Gomes netted Marseille's only goal in the 72nd minute. Marseille finished the match with ten men after captain Timothy Weah was sent off in the 77th minute.
