Abdullah Al-Majed steps down as Al-Nassr president after league triumph

Abdullah Al-Majed has announced the end of his tenure as president of Al-Nassr, the 2025-2026 Roshn Pro League champions, stating he will not continue during the automatic extension period under the club's corporate system due to work commitments. His departure follows a season that concluded with the team winning the league title.

In a post on his official X account on Saturday, Al-Majed said: "If clubs have fans, Al-Nassr has true lovers; their devotion does not change regardless of their roles."

The outgoing president explained that he is leaving after the end of his official term, noting that he experienced unforgettable moments and challenges, culminating in what he described as winning "the toughest league."

Al-Majed extended his thanks to Al-Nassr supporters, the board of directors, honorary members, technical and administrative staff, players, and all committees and councils for their efforts during his tenure.

He affirmed that he will return to supporting the team from the stands, adding that his votes for the upcoming administration will be at the disposal of Al-Nassr fans, and he will back whichever candidate the fans see as best for the club.

He added that he will be "the first supporter of anyone who serves Al-Nassr," emphasizing his continued connection to the club despite stepping down as president.
