Ruben Amorim celebrates first Milan win, says no hard feelings toward Manchester United

New AC Milan coach Ruben Amorim expressed his delight after leading his team to a 4-2 victory over Manchester United in a friendly match held in Poland on Saturday, as both sides prepare for the upcoming season.

Amorim explained that he still holds positive feelings toward Manchester United, despite being dismissed by the club in January. He emphasized that his focus is now fully on his role at Milan. "For me, it was just a regular match. I no longer feel anything toward Manchester United since joining Milan. I am proud of my work at Manchester United and still love the club, but I am extremely happy and exactly where I want to be," he said.

This win marks Amorim's first victory as Milan head coach, following two draws against Celtic (2-2) and Inter (1-1), and a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea as part of the team's preseason preparations ahead of the Serie A campaign.

Warning for striker Rafael Leao

In a related development, Amorim issued a warning to fellow Portuguese striker Rafael Leao, noting that regaining his place in the starting lineup "will be a tough task." He urged Leao to fight for his spot after the forward missed the recent friendly against Manchester United.

Leao has received an offer from Turkish club Galatasaray, but financial obstacles have complicated the deal, increasing the likelihood that he will remain in Milan next season.

Milan are set to play their Serie A opener against Torino next weekend, following a series of preseason friendlies.
