Brighton hands Arsenal first Premier League defeat of the season

Brighton inflicted Arsenal’s first defeat of the Premier League season, beating the visitors 3-0 at the Amex Stadium in Brighton today in round five of the competition.

Pascal Gross opened the scoring for the hosts in the 31st minute, with Charalampos Kostoulas adding a second in the 45th. Chema Andres sealed the win with a third goal in the 57th minute.

The result lifts Brighton to third place with 10 points, just two behind the leaders, while Arsenal remain second with 12 points.
