Al-Nassr suffer 4-0 defeat to Al-Ain in Asian Champions League opener

Al-Nassr began their Asian Champions League Elite campaign with a heavy defeat, falling 4-0 to hosts Al-Ain of the UAE on Tuesday evening in the opening round of the 2026-2027 season.

Al-Ain sealed the win with four goals, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime before adding three more in the second half.

Hussein Al-Rahimi opened the scoring for Al-Ain in the 25th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by Saad Al-Nasser to break through on goal and finish with his right foot from the right side of the box.

Al-Rahimi doubled the hosts' advantage in the 63rd minute, netting his second of the match with a right-footed shot from the center of the penalty area.

Al-Ain continued their attacking dominance as Soufiane Rahimi added a third in the 73rd minute, firing in with his right foot from the left side of the box.

Georgios Giakoumakis completed the rout in the 84th minute, finishing off a counterattack with a right-footed strike from the center of the area to secure a comprehensive victory for the home side.
