Manchester City extends Phil Foden contract until 2030

Manchester City has announced the extension of England international Phil Foden’s contract for four more years, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2030. The move underlines the Premier League champions’ commitment to one of their most prominent academy graduates.

Foden expressed his delight at signing the new deal, saying that staying at Manchester City fulfills a childhood dream. “Committing my future to City means everything to me. Playing for this club is all I’ve ever wanted,” he said, adding that he is excited to work with new manager Enzo Maresca in the coming period.

Sporting director Hugo Viana praised the England star, describing him as focused, humble, and professional. Viana emphasized that Foden is an exceptional talent and a key part of the club’s future plans.

Since making his first-team debut in 2017, Foden has enjoyed remarkable success with Manchester City, winning 20 trophies including six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League. In May 2026, he became the sixth player in club history to reach 100 goal contributions in the Premier League.
