Portugal defeat Norway to claim top spot in Nations League group

Portugal, the reigning UEFA Nations League champions, claimed three valuable points with a 2-1 away victory over Norway on Sunday evening in the second round of group stage matches for the 2026/2027 season.

João Félix opened the scoring for the visitors in the 17th minute. Six minutes into the second half, Erling Haaland equalized for Norway, but Portugal regained the lead with a second goal from Gonçalo Ramos in the 54th minute. The defending champions returned home with all three points, moving to the top of Group D in League A.

With this win, Portugal now have six points from two matches, maintaining a perfect record. Denmark and Norway follow with three points each, while Wales sit at the bottom of the group with no points.
