Thomas Partey's agent reveals why he chose Al-Shabab move

Jose Daniel Jimenez, agent of Ghanaian football star Thomas Partey, has revealed to Ajel the behind-the-scenes details and true reasons that led the player to choose Al-Shabab's offer and join the club during the current transfer window.

The signing of the experienced midfielder comes as part of Al-Shabab management's ongoing efforts to strengthen the squad with world-class, seasoned players, aiming to compete strongly for titles in the upcoming Roshn Saudi Pro League season.

In exclusive comments to Ajel, Jimenez said: "We are extremely happy to join the Al-Shabab family; we chose this ambitious project. Although the player received several strong offers from Turkish and Spanish clubs, Al-Shabab's project was the most suitable and best option."

He added: "Our decision was based on the club's serious and outstanding offer, which perfectly matches the player's high technical value and distinguished career in European football. Moreover, the player and his family felt completely comfortable with the idea of settling in Riyadh, given its ideal and unique living environment."

Thomas Partey has enjoyed a distinguished career, representing top European clubs including Atletico Madrid in Spain and Arsenal in England. Last season, the 30-year-old played 32 matches for Arsenal across all competitions, without registering a goal or assist.
