Gabriel Martinelli set for long-term move to Al Hilal from Arsenal

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed details of Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli’s transfer from English club Arsenal to Al Hilal.

Romano stated that Martinelli’s contract with Al Hilal will run until June 2030, following a review of the agreement’s terms between both parties.

He added that the player will undergo a medical in the near future, ahead of the official announcement of a deal that could exceed €65 million.

Lucrative salary and incentives

According to earlier media reports, Al Hilal succeeded in convincing Martinelli with a substantial salary that could reach or surpass €20 million per year, in addition to performance-related incentives.

The reports also indicated that Martinelli chose to join the Saudi Pro League despite receiving other offers, most notably from Turkish side Galatasaray.

Arsenal facilitates transfer

It is worth noting that Martinelli’s contract with Arsenal was set to expire in summer 2027, prompting the English club to facilitate his transfer this summer to avoid losing him for free in a year’s time.
